We begin a significant shift this month as Saturn enters Aquarius on March 21. Saturn is the planet of tradition, authority, and responsibility. Aquarius is traditionally ruled by Saturn, but its modern association is with Uranus. So, it has both influences of being rooted in tradition and structured as well as being future-oriented and progressive. When Saturn moves into Aquarius, we will feel inclined to build systems that support our visions for the future. It’s time to create stepping stones to lasting change, and we will likely see this in our collective as we build solutions to address climate change. In your personal life, this move suggests you’ll feel a tension between your vision for your future and your sense of obligation to uphold traditions from your past. The integration of both will be important as we move through the next two years.

On March 4, Venus enters Taurus—her own sign. This influence helps us feel more connected to others and strengthen relationships. It will come as a welcome shift for relationships after some turbulence during Mercury retrograde. You could have a sense of feeling more financially grounded as well.

Speaking of Mercury retrograde, that cycle ends on March 9the same day as the Virgo Supermoon. The Moon’s relationship with Neptune and Jupiter helps us see through any illusions we might have about others or our lives. Seeing things clearly may mean seeing what you wouldn’t have wanted to see before, but that could mean disappointment. This is a transformational day, but it’s not a time to make absolute decisions. Any major storylines in your life could come to a climax, especially those that began on February 16.

On March 19, the Sun enters Aries at the equinox. We’ll feel the energy rise after that and through the end of the month when Mars meets Jupiter (on the 20th), Pluto (on the 22nd), and then moves into Aquarius where it will begin to make contact with Saturn (on the 31st). The influence of Mars will energize all you do, making the end of the month time for action. That said, the rise of Mars energy after Mercury retrograde’s pressure cooker could lead to a blow-up or impulsive behavior. Find healthy outlets for stress to avoid these problems.
